SIM-menu

 

 

SIM-menu is a software application for SIM cards, which enables to include commercial services into a SIM card. On a subscriber’s phone the SIM-menu appears as an additional item of the phone main menu. The installation of services into the SIM card menu relieves the user from the necessity to memorize commands and short codes to access these services (just select the desired service menu).

 

SIM-menu is a multi-purpose product with its own structure, pricing policy and interaction between services and the Subscribers’ communication system. All available technical solutions of an Operator (SMS, USSD, IVR, WAP, МobileWEB) are usually applied to the implementation of SIM-menu services. However, despite technological complexity of their implementation, SIM-menu services are easy-to-use and -understand for the Users.

 

SIM-menu services can be included into any type of SIM cards (Native or Java) from any manufacturer. SIM-menu size depends on its structure and number of services, and, generally, ranges from 7 to 20Кb.

 

One of the types of SIM-menu services are banking services (e.g., payments). The services integrated into SIM cards are being increasingly used in latest-generation household and industrial devices (new network devices) to determine the location (alarm buttons in medicine, vehicle alarm systems, pets and supermarket trolleys movement trackers, motor vehicles dispatching systems, in the hire of bicycles, scooter, roller skates and etc.).

 

Typically SIM-menu includes music selling, weather forecast, horoscope and dating services. Among IMMO developments the most popular SIM-menus with infotainment services include:
